On September 27th, 2017 Valeria (Valente) Peters at the age of 79 left this world after her long battle with cancer to join her eternal family. Val is survived by her four children, Corynne Lynch, Kelli (David) Smith, James (Dena) Peters and Mark (Annmarie) Peters. Precious Nana to, Andrew (Kim), Angela (Ryan), Samantha, Nicolas, Dillon, Zachary, Morgan, Myia, and Nicholas. Also blessed to be a proud Great Nana to Arah, Aven and Avielle. Daughter of Frank and Angeline (Salerno) Valente. Survived by Rose (Ed) Muzenski, Mary (Ray) Stevens and Vilma Christiansen. In addition to her parents Valeria was preceded in death by her many brothers and sisters, Mary, Vera (Mike) James, Vivian (Carl) Graceffa, Alfred, Peter, Valentino (Norma) Valente and Jack Christiansen. Val’s many nieces, nephews and friends had a special place in her heart and played an important role in her life.
Val was born on March 6th, 1938 in Racine, Wisconsin and was a proud graduate of St. Catherine’s High School. Her passion for life was raising her four children and spending quality time with family. Val’s warm smile and her care for others will be truly missed. This world is a lessor place without your presence.
A special thank you to those who have supported her through her battle these last years of her life including all the caring nurses and staff who made her last days comfortable at the Zilber Hospice.
Visitation will be held at St. Florian Catholic Parish 1210 S 45th Street on Friday, October 6th from 4-6pm with Mass of Christian Burial to follow.
